If you have an OEM license, then you will have to purchase a new license to be able to use a new motherboard. OEM Licenses are non-transferable by OEM agreement. If you have a full retail version, you will be able to contact Microsoft to be able to transfer the license to the new hardware. Not sure what “license type”…
