Just a reply to the picture: I remember 20-something John Connor on his big ass bike. ...Wait a minute!

It’s always cute to see console people learn about old hats.

Nope. SC was a clusterfuck and, even worse, had the same problem as most other super hero movies, crap plot. GotG Vol.2 was slow, aimless, and the action that was there was lackluster. Vol.1 was aimless too, but it worked, and the rest was top notch.

Nope. But I know that I stand almost alone with my view on super hero movies.

So... it is the same thing that windows phones did 2 years ago? Don’t get me wrong, I hate my windows phone most of the time, but they had some good ideas.

I was hoping for Wild Cards :-(

Already happened, Guardians of the Galaxy (Vol. 1, the not shitty one) is just as good in the ensemble part, and way better everywhere else.

Yeah, that is no surprise. After the fallout from the really good, but somehow hated, BvS, everybody saw that coming. I saw the vengeful ripping apart what the makers of BvS and Man of Steel were doing. Others hoped that it would get better by removing all the good things (I don’t get it either).

I have to be honest, it’s absolutely not for me. I have tried several times. The farthest in I got was when he starts raving how awesome his family is. I get that he is telling how they look to other people. But I just hate him talking and have to stop.

Nah, all the good stuff is on PC. And the control scheme is also way better, imagine playing EUIV with a gamepad *shudder*

HAH! I can remember when I could finally play Quake on 640x480 (I believe). THAT was a revolution. 3D graphics cards were the shit.

I’m guessing the chants were in arabic or persian? Those are languages, not religions. As in chants to a montheistic deity in arabic or persian, which historically probably means zoroastrian, jewish, christian, mithranian(?) or moslem. Allah just means god in arabic...

Oh come on! You have got to do this intentionally. How can you not get that the novel is a retelling of a short story, about 70 pages, published in the anthology whose wiki page I linked.

Oh, and what got your knickers in a bunch, or gave you an opening for trolling, the second part of my post: I just wanted to qualify that inspirations and homages and things like that are normal and can be found anywhere. Looking up the heroes journey practically says it all, it can be found in adventure media,

...Because even a couple dozen shots from relatively modern looking firearms didn’t do much to their armor?

70 pages doesn’t seem that long to me...

Nope, by research I meant looking up how many movies and series incarnations of Dune there are, what I was talking about.

And a good thing is: Because there is so much stuff for so many characters, if the TV fans love some character the show runners can easily give that character more screen time. Who knows, maybe Dyelin will be a major hit, or Domon or Selucia or Thera or Gaul...
