What’s a little ridiculous about this specific callout is that Clooney DID get shit-talked about his connections. But it was, you know, 30 fucking years ago or more. I get her point but she really should have chosen an example from THIS era, not the release of Revenge of the Killer Tomatoes.

Probably minority opinion: The nepo baby issue is overrated. The last name gets you the interview, you get yourself the job. And she’s absolutely right that the expectations are higher.

I, for one, would prefer a sound loss all around. Some sort of incalculable, humiliating landslide. Sadly, I think your outcome is more likely. 

I’m still holding out hope that Trump wins the popular vote but loses the electoral college. Of all the plausible outcomes, it’s the funniest AND arguably the stupidest, so I kinda feel like the universe owes it to us.
