I know it’s a losing battle, but it’s just so tacky. Not only does “begs the question” already mean a specific other thing to logic nerds, you never see “beg” being used in that way otherwise.

Damn. I hate that he didn’t get to have a comeback or one last great role.

lesser known character —> lesser-known character

ah yes, it’s not the same beautiful custardy texture of all made from scratch, which can be done when one has time and energy for potato+cleanup labor.

Jesus. Imaging honoring your late father by growing the same shitty mustache.

Top Gun: Maverick has been delayed so long that a new Cold War, which would have provided an obvious enemy for the movie, broke out in the meantime.

The fact that “All the Old Knives” is NOT the title for the “Knives Out” sequel is only going to continue to perplex me for the next two years.

The 19-year-old kept eating his pancakes despite the bad taste, but everyone in his company were grossed out and threw their pancakes away.

It strikes me that Sandra Bullock is 16 years older than Channing Tatum and (in the trailer) I didn’t see a single, like, old lady or cougar joke. Even if this movie was shit, it’s kind of nice to see a reverse of the older male lead, younger female lead Hollywood standard without a lot of bullshit.

I mean obviously

Knowing that this movie was supposed to star Ryan Reynolds makes me want to see it so much more. “I feel like what Miranda does [on And Just Like That…] is incredibly brave. She gives up her very lucrative corporate job and goes back to try and make something more of her life.

Yes, same. I hope its usage grows. It is a much more organic evolution of the English language, which rarely uses an “nx” construction (and never uses it with an “nex” pronunciation, and almost never uses it in the way that Latinx tries to do, as a show of gender neutrality. Latine is easily pronounced by an English

On a somewhat unrelated note, I much prefer “latine” to “Latinx”.

Honestly feels like a metaphor for the Russian invasion a little.

It’s a big world out there buddy.

final tip: don’t be a microphobe

I think it was implied that there was at least a mutual attraction between Mabel and Oscar back in the day. He compliments her while everyone is getting ready for the NYE party.

I didn’t actually think she was trying to cause an explosion? Maybe I’m mistaken, but I think she was trying to poison people with the gas, which would be much closer to her MO, and in line with her escalating when she’s close to being caught.
