I mean, Jackie has a toothpick and wears jeans. Lazlo doesn’t. How could you possibly confuse the two?

Fucking Connor.
I would like an episode where Nadja goes undercover as a human
Except he isn’t asexual, as someone who is on that spectrum that’s something I always found grating.
This counterpoint would make sense if we were just discussing fashion trends, and not, you know, an episode of Sherlock that played into every horrible orientalist stereotype it could fit into its runtime. Not to mention that the episode didn't take place in China, which is where the Hanfu movement is relevant...
Except for the fact the “tightly plotted” show also relied on sexist tropes of women being emotional over men they like such as Adler losing because she “fell under Sherlock’s spell” and used her love for him as a password, mocking Molly over her unrequited love for Sherlock, Mary being turned by love, and the final…
There’s an alternate timeline where all those stunts don’t fuck him up and where Philip Berk doesn’t grope him and I wonder, in that timeline, what his arc would have been.
The first Mummy is the closest we’ve come to replicating the Indiana Jones films, and Fraser is a big reason why his character comes off as charming and romantic rather than an insufferable douchebag.
“Not my forte.”
Also, everyone not tasked with directing or writing a musical biopic should watch it too.
Rachel Bloom calls them “love kernels” and wrote an amazing song for CXG about it. “I’m like a sexy fashion cactus, living from compliment to compliment, hint to hint, storing them in my body through long periods of drought.”
I think you could say that the vast majority of musical biopics are “unintentional Walk Hards.” Walk Hard so accurately skewered that whole genre that if you were to watch it right after Bohemian Rhapsody, and didn’t know when it originally came out, you’d think it was specifically mocking that movie.
The takeaway line from this review, and the specific thing that makes any biopic a waste of time: “Part of the problem lies with Respect’s obsequious tone, with how the movie treats Franklin so regally that she feels more like an icon than a person.”
it’s really been a sea change from the ‘ooh cool i can get whatever i want for free!’ mentality to the ‘i am a good soldier for this media company and i must pay’
I do appreciate Gunn’s non-snobby opinion about movie theater vs. TV.
Jesus Christ, has the poor woman not been through enough shit! A true warrior.
That’s a very myopic take on this article. I question your agenda.
Did you even read the article? No where does it say MAN=BAD. Its not attacking men, and in fact is trying to help some men lead better lives by freeing them of incorrect notions forced on them not of their own choosing. Everyone should be able to grow to their highest human potential regardless of gender.
Birds of Prey suffered from too much Harley because they made the title Birds of Prey. Remove the promise of an ensemble piece and you've got a solid Harley Quinn movie that just happens to set up a future true team movie.
Goddamn! The Night Court cast is dropping like flies! Is John Larroquette okay!? And, what about Marsha Warfield!?
