It was fan service, but a good kind of fan service. And it was earned.

The Last Jedi isn’t as good as Empire, but it at least tried to break out and actually move the stories like Empire did. Killing Snoke made Kylo the big bad and not some whiny, emo bitch (seriously, what is it with the Skywalker line and whiny guys?); and it made Rey her own thing not needing to be defined by a…
Of all the bad decisions they’ve made over the years, not allowing Ray to be an orphan was the worst.
It would have been much, much more powerful to have Ray just be a force-sensitive person and be in the right place/right time to get her hands on Luke’s lightsaber. Like - that’s how the force can fucking work sometimes. This is all mystical bullshit.
Great article. There’s absolutely nothing in here that I disagree with, and if people want to view either Luca or TFATWS as gay that’s completely fine.
Short films. And yes, they’re absolutely phenomenal.
The correct pronunciation of “Worcester” is “Wuhstah.”
Drew Carey didn’t have a wife on The Drew Carey Show (the female lead for most of the show was his friend Kate, who was one of the guys), so it’s weird to mention that as an example of the type of show this one is commenting on.
Fat? Hairy? Silly? Slob? Me only some of those things. Okay, me all of those things... but so much more! Anyway, me agree with Trickrick1985 that me have more range as actor and deserve to get opportunity to stretch out on show.
By sheer coincidence, we finished our rewatch of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine tonight. Well, not exactly a “re”-watch, since I only really watched the first couple of seasons, and then sporadically watched the next couple of seasons, then more or less stopped somewhere in season 5. But we rewatched all of TNG last year…
Ask them to fill it up halfway. Butter popcorn. Fill it up the rest of the way. Some places may be too busy and say no, but it’s never been a problem for me.
totally with you - I can think of so many shows that would have been great for 1-3 seasons that ran waaaay too long. I get they need to make money, but if you have a defined start and end point, the product is far superior. (Manifest is the latest example, and now we’ll never know how it was supposed to end).
He told you why, though. It promotes toxic masculinity by not letting sensitive hetero males be express themselves in platonic relationships without being labelled as “gay” or “effeminate”.
It seems his maker immortalized him sometime around 1994-1997 or so, maybe that’s why the 80s beard doesn’t work
He probably could’ve phrased it better, but I agree with the underlying sentiment 100%. It’s absurd that every male friendship gets distorted into a potential gay relationship, even when there’s no evidence beyond the relationship being just a male friendship. Happens with female friendships, too (see, e.g.,…
It’s definitely my preference to not wear shoes inside. But I also don’t force guests to take theirs off, when I had guests at my house.
MythicQuest and Ted Lasso, also available from AppleTV, are also fantastic. I’ve also heard good things about For All Mankind, although it’s not my style.
Did the heat cook the onions on your belt?
I can’t hear any story about Phoenix, Arizona being horrifically hot without thinking about King of the Hill
There were two, depending on how popular 10,000 Maniacs’ “What’s the Matter Here?” was.
