Let's not forget that Windows 8 is not shipping. Windows Phone 8 is not shipping. Surface is far from shipping. The public will decide how absolutely magical Microsoft is now. If it all works out, good for them. But I'm just not seeing it happen. Windows 8 on a desktop is horrible.

Microsoft could have killed it if it had XBox integration. But it doesn't.
