I think that somebody is confusing “air” with oxygen. Air contains about 78 % nitrogen and 21% oxygen. If the plane contained 100% oxygen, the smallest spark would cause the plane to burst into flames.

Sorry, but those filters don’t remove bacteria or viruses. Just because hospitals use them, it doesn’t mean it is healthy. Hospitals should recirculate UV treated air, but don’t because it is expensive. That would cut way down on staff infections.
