We got both kinds of music: country, AND that sweet Laurel Canyon sound!

*grabs bucket of oysters*

Mosht thingsh in here don’t react well to bulletsh.

Holy shit, My Year of Flops and now Run the Series?  What’s next, an entry in History of Violence?

do you have the beasht in your shights?

The idea that James Mangold -- who I like plenty -- directed an Indy movie that’s better than *half* of the ones Spielberg directed.... oh, no, no no no no.

PHEVs FTW in America.

Damn, wish I had seen this. There is a famous Conoco station at the Copper Mountain exit on I-70 just west of Breckinridge in Colorado. If you just pull up and aren’t paying attention, you will find yourself paying a full dollar extra per gallon. Their bathrooms are lightly used and clean, and their bottled Pepsi

Well considering your time frame, a few weeks ago, it likely JUST opened, like you could have been there for the first couple days, which would 100% explain the crowds.  I used to stop at one on  the way back and forth to Austin and while there were usually a lot of people there I wouldn’t consider it crowded. They

1. Apply gas guzzler tax across the board.

I’m no Buccees superfan but my girlfriend is, so I’ve stopped there many times in FL. I’ve never had to wait for the restroom, even when they are packed, and they are as clean as advertised. Their gas is always cheaper than any other neighboring station, and about on par with the membership only places like Costco and

The US incentivized the wrong tech as the transition point for EVs. PHEV/Hybrids would have been the place to start. Lower the demand on fossil fuels and continue to build out Charging Infrastructure while getting people comfortable. Taxes/Registration based on Gross Weight helps as well.

Just south of I-10 is Alpine, Marfa, Big Bend National Park and State Park.  But yeah, it’s desolate out there.

I’m just sad you didn’t include the photo from Desperado. Guess it’s a trademarked photo, lol. Here it is again.
However, the photo you did include looks damn similar to the one we stop at.

Having just returned from a trip to the UK and Germany I’m especially bummed at how Ford handled the car situation here in the US. The current Focus (especially the ST) and even the Puma are pretty rad looking little vehicles. The Focus ST still averages about 30mpg (okay 8.1 L/100km), has a manual, and looks good.

Sports cars are seen as the devil by Carb and EPA. Sedans are seen as a chore by suburban moms, compact econo cars are not manly enough for Chad and his 2 bag of mulch he buys in his 100K$ King Ranch. Wanna change it, make a weight tax that goes directly to the infrastructure. Anything over 4000lbs and each subsequent

Every time I’ve ever been in a Buc-ee’s, its been absolutely packed with people...but I’ve never seen anything close to a line for the bathrooms.

This only makes sense if this person’s only experience with Buc-ee’s coincided with the buses of the Allen, Texas, high school marching band (700-1,000, depending on whether it’s their halftime or competition show) stopping at the same Buc-ee’s at the same time.

On I-10 in Texas between Balmorhea and where 290 branches off to Fredericksburg. Did this trip four times in the last week. There is pretty much nothing between those two points.”
