Right? He was rightfully pointing out that if they (meaning Biden’s team) want Biden to win against Trump, then they need to stop putting him in situations where he clearly comes across as mentally unfit.

Proof I need to read the whole sentence before I react:
When I was a kid, the 70's version of Salem’s Lot scared me. Watched it in my twenties, and it was laughably bad due to the special effects and acting. Haven’t seen the one with Rob Lowe and Samantha Mathis (yet). I’m curious about this version.
“And, as if that wasn’t news enough, she also became a mom via fostering to adopt. Life is truly a rich tapestry if you’re Bridgit Mendler.”
I’m guessing most of the files are watermarked so leaks can be traced. Noone’s gonna throw their career away to leak one film.
he does tend to find positive things to say about most adaptations of his work.
Isn’t there like a WikiLeaks site for dumped films? Someone get on that. Torrents just for movies that the studio decided no one can see.
“Do you get the headaches?”
Dude, even those BMW ads- er, short films were killer. Clive Owen...The Driver.
I think the industry massively overestimated the amount of value of any particular piece of streaming. Stranger Things sells Netflix subscriptions, but I am sure that 99% of the other Netflix Originals don’t result in a single additional dollar of revenue for them, and like it or not that’s their reason for existing.
I just had my Intro to Film class watch The Lego Movie for a chapter on narrative, and students picked up on the little touches like Benny’s cracked helmet, the smudges and scratches, and the herky jerky motion. I told them that I don’t think enough credit is given to Lord and Miller for paying homage to fan-made…
If that’s the kind of president they want to portray, they really couldn’t have cast it any better than Ron Swanson, could they?
Right, it’s not sci-fi, it’s speculative fiction. Science fiction generally requires different technologies than we currently have available to tell its stories. Speculative fiction does not. That’s it.
Leave it to the avclub to not do the slightest bit of research: “19 states have seceded from the Union, while much of the rest of the country is ruled by a tyrannical three-term president”, so not 2 states vs the rest.
Probably fair, and over time people may increasingly realize that 80% of Americans live in urban areas, the average commute in America is 27 minutes, and they can probably get three days out of a 200 mile car.
Fucking thank you. How people are missing exactly that is driving me mad.
I feel like there are so many stories you could tell about how important journalists are and how journalism is under attack, including telling the real life stories about actual journalists, without resorting to an alt-uni version of the U.S. But I know A24 wants to make this big push into blockbusters, so maybe…
The kids these days don’t understand nuance bFreddie.
I guess they missed that his criticism of Trump also included that he’s a fascist piece of shit, but hey, get mad because your side insisted on a useless old fossil in order to beat a malevolent old fossil. That is totally Stewart’s fault. Totally.
Time has been very kind to The Prestige. I still think it’s his best film.
