I agree. It’s outrageous that this television miniseries does not show every single event and participant in World War II.

Tom Hanks presents What Elvis Did In The War
Nope a hockey stick, we are good Canadians !! but he did go down to the US a lot too
The really galling part about getting $2.5K seized would be that it would certainly cost more than that to hire a lawyer to (maybe) get part of it back.
That heavy duty locked briefcase means nothing. TSA has the right to search all of your stuff. If your lock is not TSA compliant, they are allowed to break the lock. And they have cash-sniffing dogs too. Seriously. They actively search for large amounts of cash.
Call a lawyer...
as an aside, here’s a reggae cover of one of michael bolton’s tunes
You probably know this by now, and it wont probably wont prevent a search in the long run, but never consent to a search even if you think you have nothing to hide. Glad you were let off.
Civil asset forfeiture is insane and should not be legal. However, unless you live under a rock, you already know the police are doing this. You can get cash at your destination via the banking system. It makes no sense to provide these thieves the opportunity to enjoy your money. If for some very specific reason…
I flew to Detroit to purchase a car (from Oklahoma) last weekend, and this is exactly why I took a cashier’s check that was folded into my wallet. Much less conspicuous or prime for theft than a duffel bag full of cash.
Civil asset forfeiture without any kind of due process is obviously extremely bad policy and full of opportunity for malfeasance.
“It’s not immediately clear what caused the incident”
Probably flammable stuff. Just my guess.
C’mon Rusty, who wants to go for a walk by the exploding chemical plant? You do!
Good for them, I always recommend Mazda to anyone who’s shopping for a Toyota or Honda. It makes sense with stuff like the CX-90 that are both really good cars and look amazing, and really aren’t that much pricier than a loaded Telluride.
I get all the discussions about where the MCU is going next and why it’s in trouble. But while I feel you could make a good movie out of almost any superhero characters, the main issue is clearly, no more Captain America/Evans, Iron Man/Downey, Black Widow/Johansson, Black Panther/Boseman. Aside from the fact that…
Mazda’s decision to have 1 brand that simultaneously competes with Toyota/Lexus, Honda/Acura, Hyundai/Genesis, etc., is the real reason for its improved sales. There’s a NA CX-30/CX-5/CX-50 to compete with Honda/Toyota/Hyundai and then there is a Turbo model with premium features to compete with Lexus/Acura/Genesis. 3…
I had an Audi with the scroll wheel so not a big change from that. I actually really liked the tactile wheel of it.
I do hope Mazda continues to grow. They have a chance to suck sales from Toyota/Honda to prevent people from moving upmarket to Lexus/Acura. I’ve been a Mazda fan for years, and had a Mazda6 Wagon (manual) and a CX-9. They were both more engaging to drive than competing vehicles, even in the FoMoCo years.
Having looked at the CX-90 (and outgoing CX-9) recently, they are very good products. I think they are worth the amounts that are being asked. Having said that, if they really want to go upmarket, they have got to do something about their dealer network.
