“That’s right Bobby. As you can see, I do not have testicles. Where’s your secret weapon now?”
So great that it happened at night, what a wasted crash at lunchtime.
Glad to see The Man With One Red Shoe mentioned, but not actually on the list. I know it was a flop, but I always liked it.
I was reading an article on The Daily Beast yesterday (which I’m pretty sure AV Club cribs stuff from, because I’ll see very specific stories earlier in the day on there and later in the day on here ) about a CNN interview, but instead of CNN, they sourced to an article from The Hill! I feel like if I go to The Hill…
Thank you. I don’t care if she got eliminated. Team Laurie all the way. Plus, Jamie Lee Curtis proved out. She’s ten times the actress any of these wannabe Lauries ever turned out to be.
Honestly - that was my first thought too, looking at that photo. I could take this dude with 1 arm behind my back!
True. But the whole process was rushed. A back of the envelope calculation would’ve shown how bad the deal was for Chicago.
Oh my.
I’d think with an attitude like that the guy would have bigger biceps.
“Nothing to see here, nothing to see”
I was gonna say exactly this. I’m a typical jaded middle aged Star Wars fan; I grew up in the wake of the OT, I was there on opening night for Phantom (and left thinking what the fuck?), and after the prequels I thought I was done with Star Wars. Deadline reports Daisy Ridley is attached to star in We Bury the Dead, a zombie “survival thriller” from director Zak Hilditch (1922). The story is said to follow Ava (Ridley), “a desperate woman whose husband is missing in the aftermath of a catastrophic military experiment. Hoping to find him alive, Ava joins a body…
She was not the problem in the sequel trilogy. They whole thing was a dumpster fire and should be wiped from canon, and our collective memories, but the actors were never the problem. Ridley, Boyega, Isaac, and Driver were all great casting.
like, there’s an interesting way to phrase this and approach this, more of a ‘why didn’t daisy ridley become the next big action star?’ angle...but to frame it as ‘she deserves to be an action star’ is so baffling.
THIS ALL DAY. It’s the younguns. They don’t know what real horror is.
The blow back on the Star Wars movies probably taught her to cash the Disney paycheck and then complete work that she enjoys.
Remember when Barsanti's stupidity was confined to weekends?
Very helpful context that would have been great for the article to include, thanks for doing the author’s job for them!
