I hate to buy into conspiracy theory, but Democrats suggesting debate season start two months early certainly implies they had an idea how this would go and wanted to give themselves time for a substitute candidate prior to the convention. They’ve known for a long time what condition he’s in, even if they go on the

Oh calm down.  DeNiro sounded unhinged saying it, and so do you.  Trump’s going to end the popular vote?  Refuse to leave office in four years?  He tried to rally the troops last time and Biden was still inaugurated on January 20.  I’m no Trumper but this kind of talk makes my eyes roll into the back of my head.

I admire Jacob’s effort in fully documenting this disaster.  I didn’t count paragraphs but this was robust.

That sequence is great.  Costner’s buffoonish confidence in the plan, his belated concern about what happens if it works, and then the result.  Priceless.

Athletic ability is definitely hereditary but obviously not generationally guaranteed.

Yeah I was just being kind of a smartass. I actually feel for that kid.  You know he’s aware of what’s coming.

Like the snowburst scene. Everyone knows this is what happens...

I think it was The Penguin trailer that was posted here recently

Or Bronny James.  This is going to be ugly.  He’s nowhere near pro caliber and his dad is going to get him utterly humiliated.

Your name may get you the first couple of roles, but if you’re no good then you’ll be subsisting on D movies and one-off TV roles. I’m sure Eric Robers lives comfortably but I doubt Emma grew up in “never have to work in her life” levels of wealth.

I’m not atolling, I mean it!

Dammit.  I’m out.

I thought the sequel was a good companion piece to the original. You get a bit more backstory, but not so much that the events of the first film lose their mystery. The view of how other survivors had figured it out was also interesting. The preview of how they might be fought on a larger scale (broadcasting high

Unforgiven made the same comment, that gunfights weren’t between dead shots hitting people with one try.  They were chaotic messes.

In the Pantheon of satisfying endings with New Jack.

Yeah that’s a lost gem.  I have maybe one friend who still gets it.

Wrong Cobbs died!

Costner holds spots in three of my top 10 favorite movies, Bull Durham, The Untouchables and, yes, Fandango.

It didn’t get much buzz at release but I’ve probably seen it a half-dozen times since and yeah, it’s an absolutely fantastic western. I agree it could probably be cut down a bit, but like with Wolves part of what makes it great is living with the characters for a while before the final act. You get to know and like

Logic would say yes, but if you have a successful show you probably have to treat writers reasonably fairly if you want them around next season.  Regular crew? Maybe not so much.
