I work in finance, and our firm sells companies to PE groups all the time. A PE-backed company is actually less likely to go under than a privately-owned one, because if it’s struggling then the investors can put more money in to support it (and have more resources for troubleshooting). Granted some of these groups…

Speaking of Truman Show, it’s amusing to me that one of the hottest vacation spots in Florida (Seaside / 30A) was the setting for the movie because the place is so prefab perfect and cookie-cutter.

Yeah that song just straight-up rips. I recently listened to the album all the way through for the first time in years and it’s just a monster.

One commenter recently posted that they continued to come here out of muscle memory, which describes perfectly my irrational ongoing AV Club habit.  I really just thought one day the comments plug would be permanently pulled and that would be that.  Never expected this kind of resurrection.
