Yeah, I mean I like the Black Keys fine and if priced right (and in a decent venue) I could see a fun night out at a show.  This isn’t that.

Concert pricing in general has been nuts for a long while now. The Stones were the original culprits - I’m pretty sure they were the first to sell tickets starting at $100, years ago. Other acts seemed to jump on the strategy of seeing how far you could jack prices before people tapped out. Looks like some have found…

The names people are listing here make sense, but whoever thought Charli XCX was going to sell out a stadium was beyond delusional.  And I’ve never heard of Wallows.  I don’t pretend to know every act out there but I’d think I would have heard the name if they’re big enough for an arena tour.

I saw the trailer on here a few weeks ago - definitely looks compelling. Low horror budgets can make for inventive storytelling.

Yeah slipping along watching the coastline glide by would have been worth the trip alone.  Just a unique place.

Looking at Powell’s IMDB, he worked on random stuff for about 10 years before hitting it big.  Chalamet seems like he’s been a star almost from the jump.  Regardless, I agree he seems to have good instincts and that gives credibility to the films he chooses.

Except by his own narration as an old man, the Feral Kid goes north to the coast with the rest of his tribe and eventually becomes its leader. Who knows, maybe he took vacations to fuck up bad dudes.

I actually just saw my first Hummer EV and...it’s actually pretty nice.  Looks sort of like a squatty Bronco.  Still huge and defeats the purpose of an EV, but at least it doesn’t look like a CT.

I was involved in shop tours for a client of ours that used rolled steel, and the guy leading had to tell everyone who came through to not even get near the edge of the rolls because it’s essentially a razor. He gave me an example with a piece of paper.

It looks like a leftover prop from an 80s sci fi movie.  They are so much worse in person, which is difficult to believe.

I have to think they can get those rescue boats deployed pretty quickly.  It would be hopeless to try to track a single person bobbing in the water from the main ship.

I was a bit surprised to read that they found him.  I guess someone knew right away where he’d been so they could use GPS but even being next to the beach in yellow-flag water makes it hard to spot a person.

Disney is the only one I’ve been on as well (Alaska, 2x Caribbean) and as usual the customer service and general attention to detail were top-notch. But I don’t have much interest is the floating drunkfests that most others seem to be.
