No one can work with Chevy Chase.
I would have assumed it was a person’s natural impulse to turn right (also because of the right-handed thing, I guess). People who lay out retail stores take that into account when placing items.
Ha, for sure.
I’ll best it’s number two on the college movie charts! Know what’s #1?
In this case, Croker is a former middle linebacker who has gotten fat but still bullies everyone and uses his size to support his bluster. Daniels just isn’t naturally intimidating in the way the character is written in the novel.
That was the joke, that the French girl first said he used their inability to communicate as an excuse to put his octopus testicles on her. She meant tentacles.
It remains remarkable to me how well the casting turned out for those movies, both on-camera and off. I know they did deep dives into looking at pictures of the candidates’ parents and sibling to get an idea how the actors would age but ther was still a rolling of the dice.
If you can dodge a wrench, you can dodge a sexual assault allegation.
He used the English/French language barrier to rub his testicles all over an exchange student.
I just watched the first couple of episodes last night and agree with bc222 up there that corn seems to be their main foodstock so it’s not unreasonable that people would look well-fed. Lord knows corn syrup hasn’t been good for our IRL health. The guy digging up Goggins being full-on fat? Makes much less sense.
I’m sure I’ll watch it as well but am not surprised to hear there’s no big dramatic ending, since you’re right the book just kind of stops instead of concluding. Wolfe’s talent for picking out the small details along the way is what made the book such a great read.
Kick her off the tour, Doug!
Is that the face / dye job / facial hair selection of a pedophile??
He claimed it wasn’t the movie he thought he was making. Which...did he not read the script? And even if that’s true, why did he come back to work with Steve Holland on the unofficial sequel One Crazy Summer?
You HAVE to think he and his lawyers are fully aware of that.
And I frankly don’t blame him. I haven’t seen the doc but if the implication is that he was complicit despite no actual evidence then this is the way for him to get the facts into legal evidence.
Go watch Better Off Dead, ASAP.

Since he’s the one filing the defamation suit, I have to assume he is confident that his behavior was not criminal. Creepy? Probably. But this opens the door to a lot of discovery and I expect he’s thought that through fully.
