I don’t care how shitty your business is, there is zero excuse for a publicly listed company to have accounting this poor. I work in corporate finance and the rigors our private company clients are put through are arduous. PWC should damn well have been out ahead of this issue as well - it’s embarrassing.

Oceans are about to be orphan vehicles with no support whatsoever.  This is why market acceptance of Tesla was so gradual.

Same, I saw one on my way to work a few weeks ago and slowed down to figure out what it was. Really attractive.

Instant.

I’m not sure that’s entirely true. Cash is king so if they can get $1,000 from you now instead of over three years, they’re going to do it. As long as they maintain the same volume of sales they will always stay ahead from a cash perspective, so it makes sense.

I also expect a LOT of Toyota buyers keep their cars for a long time.  Repeat business would be scarce, and people are generally shopping on price.

I had one that worked as advertised, but ultimately the savings was minimal and I had to watch the service dept like a hawk to be sure they were doing everything the plan said they would and not layering on other services I didn’t ask for. Ultimately just not worth it.

The money differential on the plan isn’t enough to bother hiring a lawyer, or even filing yourself in small claims court. It’s the deceptive practices that pack a punch and can command an award meant to send a message to the dealership (especially if she get a class together).

Agreed, but it’s wild that rotation wouldn’t be included in a basic service plan. That’s as “basic” as it gets.

It’s a preemptive move to put the U.S. in a defensive position, even though everyone knows it’s patently absurd.

I’ve bought exactly one of these, after doing a bunch of math (including looking at typically available discounts). It did probably save me 10-15% but I absolutely had to watch what the dealer service department was doing each visit. Even though it saved me some cash, it really wasn’t worth the hassle (didn’t help

40th anniversary of Footloose release. Coincidence? I doubt it.

Article said it dropped port anchor, which would have pulled the boat to the left as it was drifting right out of the channel.  I’m not surprised an anchor dropped into a river bed couldn’t stop something with that much momentum.

I think you’re making assumptions not in evidence here. Unless they had a vehicle right next to them and could have been warned inside 30 seconds, there was nothing to be done (and you have no idea if they were warned, you’re just accusing everyone involved of being racists). The ends of the bridge were closed, which

I think it’s fair to note the difference between opposition to illegal or unfettered immigration, and legal immigration or work visas. I can’t speak to the Guatemalans, but the others certainly seem to be working legally. Also you know really doesn’t like illegal immigration? Legal immigrants and visa workers, since

It’s definitely better-looking than the PT, which leans a little too heavily into the retro look for my taste.

It’s too busy.  A car can be bad-ass without looking like it’s trying so hard.

I’ve liked Palmer since his NFL days but yeah, in this context he really doesn’t have much of a vocabulary.

Honestly they could probably have the wreckage cleared in a few days.  Rebuilding?  Few years, I would guess.

Well shit, first I’ve heard of it. Maybe a good thing, we’ll see.
