And therein lies the problem - if it weren’t location-specific then every freight line through a major city would look like this.

I definitely think it was more widely seen. Even before it started grabbing all the awards it had huge word of mouth and was appointment viewing.

.500 is a win these days.

“Preventing and prosecuting robbery is a private matter” is a take, I guess. So you’re recommending they load up on armed guards since it’s not a government problem?

Whoever was caught trying to access her medical records at the hospital needs to be publicly excoriated, for sure.

Stolen, used for joyriding or committing crimes until they run out of gas, low-level criminals have no means of selling them.  So - abandoned.

You should - they may have been unfairly Malignowed.

WSJ story about this from two years ago. Newsom showed up, picked up some boxes, pledged more money for policing the issue, and that was that.

Yeah, she’s okay. Between Talladega Nights and GCB this seems like a good fit for her.

They should be on the ballot in November. They’d have my support.

Watching it again I have to wonder how many takes were required to get the door to cooperate like that.

100%.  But the camera shot of Glenn hitting the ground with HI in the distance is an all-timer.

And look at that - a screen that doesn’t look like an iPad glued to the dash.  Wonders never cease.

Is this not what the residents voted for? This is the least surprising outcome imaginable.

That assumes a functioning city government that can perform the most basic tasks.

Oakland is hemorrhaging cops. Why would you bother to be one knowing that people you arrest are going to be immediately released and/or ultimately not charged?  This is the result.  One in 30 Oakland residents had their car stolen last year.  That’s insane.

I’d venture people who can’t afford to pay their car note don’t have full comprehensive coverage that would pay out of the car is stolen.

It’s not a racket if you buy the policy.  Liability alone is the cheapest.  Comprehensive with theft is more expensive.  You get what you pay for.

I know jack squat about NASCAR but do remember that Robert Duvall was planning to use the fuel line trick on the car he was building for Cruise to race so obviously it’s legit (I’d have thought that was banned and easily detectible by then).

Anyone not blinded by BEV ideology has been saying this for at least the last five years. It both solves range anxiety and charging access while convincing owners first-hand that maybe a BEV is all they need (at least for one car in the household).
