It just looks like it’s gonna be an off-season for the Cardinals (2007 and 2008 were also not good years for them). I don’t think their mediocre performance will last into future seasons.
I’m assuming that most Cardinals fans probably don’t come to Deadspin. The ones you do get here are the ones that other Cardinal fans probably don’t even like.
Wacha felt bad and gave Howard something to hit, but of course he can’t say that to the media.
Assuming they continue to play the way they currently are, which I don’t think will happen. I’m not saying they’re gonna all of a sudden take off and be amazing, but they should improve as people on the DL return.

I personally find this series amusing, even though I’m a Cardinals fan.
Wacha pitched well, but sometimes it just takes one mistake to cost you the game, especially with how unpredictable our offense is.
