Ken Starr’s world:

Nothing better than the ol’ “1 star review” on Amazon.

Don’t worry Finnish peoples. U.S. military exercises here in the states are always mistaken for a government invasion of Texas.

“Consensual sex? That could lead to dancing!”

It’s the Baptist way: If there’s a chance all participants are enjoying the sex, then you’re doing it wrong.

I swear to God when I saw this headline I thought “Oooh! I’ll post ‘Couldn’t have happened to a bigger pile of shit.’” You beat me to it! So, so true.

The only perspective I can see is this...

“I did not have sexual relations with that girl”
“I should spend tens of millions of dollars investigating this and try to get this man impeached!”
-Ken Starr 1997

“Did I rape her? I mean...”
“Good enough for me!”
-Ken Starr 2016

Couldn’t have happened to a more repugnant piece of shit.

+1000000 for online sales and honoring prices. This is a no-brainer.

I agree completely. And anyone who claims to be a “fiscal conservative, but social liberal” who votes republican is a coward. Because republicans are not fiscally conservative when in power for the reasons you stated, and they help republicans push their socially conservative agenda. they just want to say they’re

I disagree that a conservative voice is needed to consider budgets and the Constitutionality of laws. It’s true that conservatives wave around the idea of fiscal responsibility and use political rhetoric to claim the Constitution as their own, but they are demonstrably not better on budgets or the Constitution.

I’m from the NW originally, and I went to college and am now at a state medical school in the deep south with lots of young men and women like this. This attitude that you quote ‘“That is a privacy issue. Government has no business getting involved”’ is what bugs me the most about them, though. I get that everyone

I take issue with their metrics. They don’t truly measure or value environmental or social costs and benefits, for instance. I work in govt, and I sometimes agree with their criticism about waste, but their application of this criticism is so uneven (ie, not applicable to the military).

Great points. I would argue that defense spending is not truly conservative, but merely hawkish and more in line with the GOPs pandering to a particular base by seeming to be pro military and pro defense.

Republicans have been true to the concept of fiscal conservatism in name only for as long as I’ve been alive. It’s propaganda that doesn’t have anything to do with their actual policies.

If your friend was a true fiscal conservative, he wouldn’t be a Republican.

Starred because it deserves to be ungreyed. But I disagree that conservative policies are reasonable about money - see our military spending, the long term cost of cutting funding to health care, social safety nets, and education. It doesn't matter if you save a dime here if you lose a dollar later because your

For starters, don’t vote for people who block reforms and deny the science.

Why bother with facts ?
