ain’t it?
Tell you what. You go do that, Redline your engine in Neutral for a tank of gas and tell us how long it takes to burn through it all. Then burn a tank of gas at idle and in gear. Post the results.
To your first point: that is merely a training issue. If they care they will learn.
I would be in favor of this metric as well.
education is a terrible thing...
How about manufacturers publish the rate at which fuel is burned at a certain RPM, regardless of the speed, gear you are currently in, whether the vehicle is equipped with a sunroof, if you are driving in a vacuum, etc... etc.
Noted NP despite it likely needing another $5k in repairs to make it a DD.
A star for the title alone.
right up there with the Illinois ones...
Never heard of the song until today, so I guess... today?
I cannot edit the original comment. The ‘hitch’ is referred to as a King Pin (at least it is by Polar Tank - a manufacturer of Tanker Trailers).
It does look odd.
I have seen trailers (especially construction trailers) that have mud flaps mounted near the front where the rear axles of the Tractor would end. The lights are Amber in color as opposed to Red which would make me believe they would be used as side markers (useful when reversing or to see how the trailer is tracking).…
In the close up picture you can see the ‘hitch’ (for lack of a better term) of the trailer leading me to believe the car ran into the front of the trailer where there is no Mansfield bar.
NP.
City, Combined or Highway? In the city our van is sub 20's, on the highway with the cruise set to 75-80 I average about 26-28 MPG.
Cell phones a right? I don’t want to be part of that world. (Also, broadband is a luxury. Internet access could be seen as a right since plenty of libraries offer it for free.)
I can tell you from experience, a 2002 Nissan Sentra (B15) babies just fine. Two is a bit tight but if you put the booster behind you the driver seat doesn’t have to go too far forward to be uncomfortable. The 2003 Saturn VUE (and subsequent GM products that share a platform) Baby well as well. As does the 2007 Dodge…
Couldn’t agree more.
