Jeebus Fracking Crackers. Subaru...what happened to your design? Is the mandate to design beige vehicles and then throw a dash of plastic body cladding on for “off road” utility? I know design is subjective. But even without the cladding I think most would describe their recent efforts as bland at best.
As a 15 year old, I was able to rent mopeds in a vacation community. $5 extra got you full insurance. Cousin and I would take them on off road bike trails and golf courses and jump them over whatever we could. Had to return at least 2 that “stopped working for some reason.”
I mean...coolest golf cart ever right?
Biggest takeaway......continue to avoid Missouri.
Hopefully he never races again. He was unsafe to have on the track and made each race worse to watch (until he crashed and DNF’ed).
Volkwagon ID’s.
Are we sure a Mustang didn’t hit the Tesla first? Or is there a Mustang engine in the car? I kid. Although with the recent jumping of the Model S plaid, perhaps Tesla drivers are going to steal the dumb dumb crown from Mustang owners.
Saving this explanation. THANKS!
It is. Been keeping up with it via Youtube, netflix...etc for a couple of years but now can watch live! The close racing and newly competitive Ferrari engined teams make it pretty exciting.
Yo Steve. Check out comments on Audi, Porsche Might Be Coming To Formula One (jalopnik.com) for DRS explanation. Saudi GP was very first F1 race I watched live as well and I was similarly mystified by DRS but commenters explained it nicely there.
Got it. Makes sense. Thanks!
Thanks stones4!
Thanks! What if the person in P1 is within 1s of the person in P20? Would the race leader then get DRS or is it only for drivers who are NOT in 1st and are within 1s of the car in front of them?
Great news and good article. Okay fellow race fans...F1 noob here. Watched very first race on Sunday much like Jalop writer Steve DaSilva (borrowed Sling account that has ESPN...check out his post from yesterday). Loved it...but how do DRS zones work? Also like Steve DaSilva I’m mystified by DRS zones. Do all drivers…
Great idea. It would also be interesting to see an article on early Japanese small pick ups. Like the Mazda B2000 series. I’d read the crap out of those articles.
Hilarious. Also...no thanks on the offer for your alternative experience!
Agree. It was also cool to see different players finishing in the points. Haas had always been just kind of fun to me with constant hilarious disasters. But I had a genuine smile when they finished 5th. Getting rid of Nikita M actually helped with the hope that they succeed rather than being the circus clowns of F1…
Oh and Lawrence, I hope you’re clear that the article is great. The shade towards that vehicle is completely compartmentalized from the article. Just want to be abundantly clear there. Like I don’t want to live on a nuclear submarine. Apparently they smell like years of accumulated farts. However, I’d read about/watch…
Interesting article...interesting like a Doug Demuro video on a not very well remembered vehicle. However, much like a DD video which is fascinating, I WANT NOTHING TO DO WITH THESE LATER GENERATION HUMMERS. Somehow they went from cool to being an absolute embarrassment of a vehicle.
