I think it’s a really beautiful song that gives me chills when I hear it. I’m a big fan of late 80s early 90s solo Bruce, though and I think the entire Tunnel of Love album is waaaay underrated. (Philadelphia came out a few years later.)

I think you have it completely opposite. Everyone got sick of Rex, he was such a loudmouth. Except, Jets fans love him to this day. Every Jets fan secretly wants Rex back as a HC.
