Except for the twist ending, I thought the first one was a highly enjoyable film! The central four cast members were endearing, the creatures were a joy, the setting was neat, Collin Farrell was a great villain.

It’s such a human thing to love and dote on small furry creatures, that when someone doesn’t react that way, it’s like a red flag pops up over them.
