@AreWeThereYeti: As an electrical engineer, and a macbook owner, (and an Acer, and a MSI, etc) I have to agree and disagree.

@Java-Princess: I call friggin BS. A battery, slash voltaic pile, will never create an AC voltage, nor source an AC current.

@ixta70: It is never a good idea to let a battery 'discharge' completely. The only benefit is that the coulomb counter can reset.

@phiyuku: But he also waited until the tech was already moving on again, thus 2-10 years of not enjoying, always waiting for something 'better'. I have a box of cassette tapes you can borrow.

@Mekklesack: BUT, some of us got to use the rev1 for almost TWO YEARS before you even knew what it was all about! It wasn't perfect, but I had the internet in my hands way before you did.

@NeoTechni: No need for the foul language! Did I call you a bad name for your opinion?

@NeoTechni:It has one, and it works great!

I work at a lab, and sometimes I go out on the ocean. I love my job!

@rnoyfb: Thank you for providing some truth on the internet. Alas, it will be short lived, or at least ignored.

@shooga: I just got back from a trip with a bag that I had intended to check in, but ended up carrying on the plane. Forgot that my kickass knife was in the pocket!

@Interstella5555: Dude has a point about the location of his post, but he still doesn't get the point of yours!

@sydcinema: Washington is covered too, where is the clientele?

Apparently it's still easier to grow your own! (Of course, I wouldn't know anything about that!)

@octasquid is now closed beta: Amen, went to linux before getting a mac. everything I could do then, I can do now, because it has a real terminal! windows does not. Try using hyperterm in windows and then minicom in linux and mac. Love the terminal.

@Copernileo: Have you ever tried a linux build or macOSX yet? Not saying this to be a dick, but honestly speaking, as a new to mac guy, solid for the msoft win, I am really preferring my macbook to my win7 laptop. It's going on craigslist tomorrow.

@Kajigger Me Timbers: Right? When I was 12 we didn't even have call waiting. I was learning my chops with tubes and huge ass resistors. Goes to show that the learning process is indeed non-linear.

@deciBels: Dude, we really should not encourage people to grab the spark. Without a real understanding of WTF they are doing, only fun will ensue. Sure, it sounds simple. Voltage is like the height of a wave, the current is the volume of the water beneath it.....
