You can remap the buttons so the triggers match the left- and right-handed attacks, like they’re supposed to. I had to do the same thing with Moira too, though I wish I could swap her actual attacks so as to not mess up my Mercy muscle memory. It’s like Blizz made a conscious decision to make things stupid.

Hell I’d consider Rein to still be better just because his hammer-wave has much more range, and his charge is still super useful (and you can aim it mid-flight!), on top of his higher overall health (and armor that comes with it) and more reliable damage output since his hammer has a deceptive reach making it easier…

Reinhardt shouldn’t be brought up in this conversation. He’s an anchor tank, meant to control an area with his shield. His charge should primarily be used to break stale mates, not to dive the back line.

Genji has better traversal, as well as more versatile defensive options. Genji is what a better designed doom fist would be.
