I’m glad you said it so I didn’t have to; TMNT Arcade and similar TMNT games were nothing more than coin collecting apparatuses designed to take away more money the longer the patron wanted to play i.e. the entire point of owning an arcade, making money from people wanting to play. It’s not really designed with mostly

What it meant to say “first five minutes of the only good teenage mutant ninja turtles game”

I don’t care what anyone says, this game is fun as shit as long as you’re not terrible at it, and everyone rages about the waterfall, but the TechnoDrome is far worse than that in terms of difficulty, and like any difficult NES game, it’s all a matter of repitition and getting used to the game mechanics. It’s a Konami

If you think this is the worst Turtles game then you’ve either only played this and the arcade games or you’re of bad taste. There are Turtle games on GB, DS and MSdos that make this look like Super Metroid. It’s not even the worst NES Turtles game, the NES version of Tournement Fighters sees to that.

I wasn’t aware only playing as one turtle was an issue for some. Personally I thought it was awesome that I could choose between all four of them, which was unique to other platformers that didn’t have four different characters. Also I’ve never cared for beat em ups in general let alone the TMNT ones, so I have fond

I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again. TMNT was the first rogue-lite metroidvania platformer.

Seriously, not that hard. Follow the numbers, remember the concept of hitboxes, change turtles when necessary (which shouldn’t be often, after learning the hitbox and basic swim physics).

It’s not even a bad game. People give it a hard time because they sucked at it as a kid, or because of the AVGN review. Aside from some shitty jump mechanics, and a lack of characters from the cartoon, it’s a pretty solid game.

Really? The worst? Other than the water level, which wasn’t too bad given that games on the NES tended to have a straight forward higher difficulty curve, It was alright

He should never be allowed to play a video game again.

you can argue about it being a good game or not all you want.

Also, change your username. Where’s that option?

Thanks for the info! Really liking the work a lot!

Many animted films in the 70’s and 80’s were completely hand drawn, and some were even made to look unbelievably detailed from the sheer amount of handwork that went into the animation. Even the Transformers Movie (Animated one) was mostly hand drawn, and it truly did look gorgeous too.

Now playing

The team behind Skullgirls, Lab Zero Games, just announced Indivisible, a game “inspired by classics like Valkyrie Profile and Super Metroid”.
