Link to the Past is too much of a “tour” than an adventure to be a perfect video game, if you ask me.
..No one asked me?
Nevermind, then.

If the example video is any indication then I don’t see the problem with players using mouse + keyboard on console. It’s apparent it doesn’t provide a huge advantage (at least not for this player). Which leads me to assume one’s skill is what matters here. In the right hands it would be devastating for sure, but in…
This is typically true, but remember it did take the 3DS a while before third party support picked up. It initially didn’t sell very well and they even had to do a price drop shortly after its release to help sells. They did pick up, but I argue that it’s a coincidence third parties typically support Nintendo…
Free spirit! That’s a good term to describe it.
Indeed! Though by the end of FF7 after all the heartache and turmoil Cloud goes through rediscovering himself and mako poisoning and Sephiroth stuff and whatever, while it’s been decades since I’ve played, I recall Cloud getting himself back together and becoming that true SOLDIER guy he had always dreamed of, a true…
I just went and rewatched it. And, nah, I’m getting more of a downer vibe from him that I didn’t get from the original game. It’s not just his lines, it’s the delivery of the lines, body language, and facial expressions. He’s all mopey teen angst “whatever..”-like. I saw the original FF7 Cloud more, how you say,…
Did you notice the quotation marks around “bad” in “’bad’ graphics”?
I do prefer the original translation of Chrono Trigger over its DS remake/port. Things like “fiendlord” doesn’t quite convey the same feeling as a dark wizard.
I meant the interpretation of the “acting” with the “bad” graphics and dialogue was a personal experience. Similar to how one reads a book and gets something different out of it than someone else.
Depends on the movie and/or book.
That’s a good question, about the Japanese version. As I understand it the translators for FF7 changed a lot, assuming western audiences to not “understand” or it wouldn’t appeal to them. That’s where, as I understand, a lot of the plotholes come in with Sephiroth and Jenovah pieces and clones and stuff. I could…
Good points, he was different after he “remembered” himself/stopped thinking he was Zach/whatever. But from what I can gather from the FF7 Remake trailers this version of Cloud seems to align more with the Advent Children and Kingdom Hearts personality, as you put it, the general perception of him. But we haven’t seen…
I feel like part of FF7's charm was “bad” graphics and poor translation. By recreating it all super realistic HD it leaves less room for imagination. A lot of older games, I think, were helped by what the player “put into it”. Like Nintendo’s stance on never wanting to give Link a true voice for voice acting, that we…
I’m reminded of all those Wii shovelware-like titles. I was always surprised they would get full on physical releases. They started being sold in budget places like the checkout aisle of CVS and such. M&Ms Wii game is one that sticks out in my mind. When a console sells well you’ll no doubt get those who want to cash…
I’m a huge fan of super-muscle lady Broly.
I’d love to see that!
I did start to play competitive in the second season because in non-comp I was all too often put in teams of jokesters like Meis ice walling teammates in the spawn or Symmetras putting teleporters off cliff sides. That sort of thing. Or just people who were in quick play just to mess around and have a more casual fun…
I play on PS4 so I can’t be reported, but I do very regularly get harassing PSN messages and match-long insults for playing Symmetra. Even when our team does well, I do well, we win, and/or I get play of the game. I don’t get it. People want to adhere to a “meta” to the point of becoming very, very ugly.
They could also fix it where Symmetra’s beam latches onto friendly ice walls while they’re fixing this one.
I hadn’t played 3v3 since it first came out and over the holiday I decided to give it another go and first match I come to find a Solider and a Widowmaker inside a wall? Last I’m playing that mode.
I dunno, I made it through 6 episodes and it only got worse. Whatever Psycho Pass was doing I think Ghost in the Shell Stand Alone Complex did better. But who am I?
