One reason Konami has taken these sorta steps is because mobile type games are more profitable. If a big budget title like MGSV doesn’t meet good returns then this shift in direction is totally justified. But if MGSV sells above and beyond expectations then it’s a clear indicator to Konami that big budget titles are

If this report is true then the staff and artists behind the game went through hellish conditions to get MGSV released. They reportedly have tried their best to make the best MGS they could so not buying and enjoying their hardwork just to spite Konami especially with this news would be disappointing, if you ask me.

Yeah, that’s why I had that sorta postface there that it’s more of an easter egg than plain sight deal.

I immediately thought the one ending from Chrono Trigger, but that’s more of an easter egg, less in plain sight deal.

Yeah, I... what? I know, I read the thing. That’s like half my point. Why are you pointing this out again?

don’t forget PS+ has previously featured both Metro Last Light and Ground Zeroes.

I’ll occasionally wear sunglasses indoors. I find they help me with my social anxiety. Having something to “block” eyesight and shield my own from others tends to help me feel more comfortable and less anxious in certain social situations. I don’t know why but eye contact, like, for lack of a better word, hurts.

Right? And it was neat that each Turtle was like their own unique character to boot, within the game’s limits. Their different weapons made them play differently and must suited for different situations. And you could switch out on the fly. No other game up to that point had anything like it. I thought that was so

I mean people played much harder games with far crazier map layouts than the dam level here. Like Metroid, the entire game had no map you had to remember everything. And there are more challenging games than the dam level like the entirety of Ghost and Ghouls that people adore.

then don’t buy their FUTURE titles, this title was created before all this and worked up by dedicated, talented individuals. not buying this game only justifies konami’s decisions.

It’s a fantastic game! It has great design with the life system of having the four turtles represent a life and you rescue them to gain it back, the overhead map connecting levels stuff, the simple but satisfying combat... I can’t remember a game that had so many ambitious ideas at the time! Is it perfect? Hell no! Is

Agreed. The added content is pretty cool. The writing it’s wrapped in isn’t up to the standard for the rest of the game, but all in all it was pretty cool.

Yeah but the DS version has that funky re-translation all calling Magus the fiend lord and stuff like that.

Everything I see on this game gets me more and more excited! I’m so happy they put in a Mario 3 skin, but am sad there’s no Mario 2 (Mario USA?) skin.

What I can tell it’s more than just a skin, though, it’s a function? Like you only seem to be able to do wall jumps in the “new” Mario bros skin. So the look is tied to

THANK GOD. That jiggle was equal parts disappointing, disturbing, and gross. I’m glad to hear it’s not intentional/won’t be in final product.

The actual presentation and everything was amazing. Some of the best Nintendo’s done. They keep getting better with each Direct. But the actual game content and announcements weren’t overwhelming, quite underwhelming. I hope this negative feedback doesn’t stop them from future puppet shows and sit-downs/discussion

I can see them cutting out any and all humor or whimsical moments from the game. And stripping all side quests, especially the lighthearted ones. And I’d bet they get rid of the overworld map. And no more Cait Sith. And make the battle system a bland, boring, “auto-play” mess like more recent FFs.

yay ROB! i hope i’m able to actually get one.
