Actually, no it wont always be yours. Even the disc is basically just them licensing a copy of the game to you. You never own a copy of a game nowadays. Just a license to it. Your problem is that you’re thinking that owning a copy of a disc with the title of your game on it means that you actually own the game.

I remember lining up behind the japanese kids at Tampa Bay Lanes (A bowling alley) to play Capcom Vs. SNK 2 MotM.
