I just don’t understand why VW of America doesn’t want to just make it a GTX instead of an ID.4 trim level.

How can it be a direct competitor when the WRX isn’t an SUV, nor is it a BEV?
My first reaction was that it was pretty stupid, but then I realized that I hardly ever roll down my rear windows from the driver’s seat, so it honestly doesn’t seem that big of an issue to have to toggle between front and back.
I’d like to get your impressions of the charging experience. How easy it is to use it with the Electrify America chargers, how long it maintains the max charging rate around 15o kW if you start charging it from 5-10% or so before it starts slowing down the rate of charging.
The white interior was only the the First editions. The current Pro and Pro S models being sold are all with a blackish/brown or gray/blackish interior and a blackish steering wheel, and I haven’t seen anything to indicate that that would be changing with the AWD versions.
I have a 2005 Corolla in the household and it seems to be in the sweet spot of having solid reliability and a decent set of safety features while still being easy to fix things and cheap replacement parts being available. For example, the driver’s side mirror was damaged accidentally backing into a pole and it was…
The one thing that is a massive pain on vehicles of a certain vintage are the infotainment screens. Older screen-less vehicles are super-easy to upgrade to a modern touch screen because you can just pull out the existing radio and swap in either a Double-DIN touchscreen, or you can get a single-DIN model where the…
Apple Maps was a hot mess when it launched, but I have to give them credit for continually improving it. When I got a CarPlay-compatible receiver as an upgrade for my car back in 2017 I started using Apple Maps because it was the only option, and it was actually not that bad even back then.
I’m figuring this will be like the RAV4 where the regular version is a bit sluggish, but the hybrid drivetrain coming in the 2023 has more pep to it.
I thought the Dole Lights were supposed to ensure that there was better visibility when people are breaking?
That’s pretty much what happened with the Chevy Bolt. Once the tax credits expired, you saw them start throwing a lot of cash on the hood and even dropping the price on the new models.
The average new vehicle price is $41,263. I’d guess that not lot of people with less than $7500 in tax liabilities is buying a brand new vehicle unless they live with their parents or are in the military and have Uncle Sugar covering rent, food, and healthcare.
Where would that be, exactly? Seattle hit 108 this past June. Even Anchorage got into the 90s back in 2019.
I feel like the Roy Kent CGI is a little off this season. They were just in too much of a rush to get it out quickly that they didn’t spend enough time refining the motion capture and rendering like they did in season 1.
Didn’t it go beyond the motor? I thought the Prizm was basically just a Corolla with a Geo badge slapped on it.
I had one for a week-long rental back in the summer of 2015, and it was a really good car for the trip. The little selector dial for the gear shift took a little getting used to, but it was a great car to drive from Nashville to East TN to visit my parents that summer.
As someone who bought 7 shares of AMC stonk for $10 a share back in April, I can attest that current stock valuations have no basis in reality. AMC in particular seems to go through cycles of pumping and dumping as Twitter and Reddit try to engineer short squeezes.
That’s one reason I’m glad I fly with Alaska. With their new seats it is BYO touchscreen, and since it isn’t directly attached to the seat it doesn’t generally transmit the tapping the same way an integrated screen does. Plus their new seats have AC plugs and USB power outlets on every seat back. Their Recaro-made…
