@bathysphere: also, if you're in practice, and you see a client continually relapsing, or just not making any noticeable progress- that's a drain on the therapist/counselor- speaking as one, and for many friends/colleagues.

@TheFormerJuneBronson: actually, in most therapeutic environments- if positive outcomes aren't being met- insurance won't pay for it. insurance companies are always on the lookout for new excuses to not reimburse therapeutic services, anyway.

ALSO: When are we going to get rid of the "babydoll"/ "empire-waist" atrocities (uh, second girl from left) that make everyone look PREGNANT. Rock it if you are preg- pull it in if you don't want people asking when you're do.

@BowlingForDollars: GIRL. You talkin' to me? (because, I, um... would fucking rock that dress everywhere but work- not in white though. I'm all about it.)

@BAngieB: "I always knew you'd be a star!".

@ocd soundsystem: I wish I'd read your advice before reading the comments. I'm feeling pretty stabby now.

@Archetype: hmm... maybe I should up my doses of Concerta or Ritalin for more "concentration".

@bandwagonesque: ahh... spot on! that's exactly how she dresses herself.

@h3llc4t: Lauren always struck me as a faux "punk".

does anyone like Agent Provacateur's "Maitresse"? I have it, and it's the only one (I like Poeme, the "light" Poison, for example) that my husband does not simply state: it smells like alcohol. not sure that means he likes it- just seems he doesn't complain, and I've received compliments from men when I wear it.

hmm... I suppose I should give my mom a ring...

in all fairness, it was probably because of the lyrics. but, then some other "riot grrrl" bands say similar things in their songs.

it's weird, but I've heard this question/rumor circulating before... it was just something some d.j.s and I would ponder, from time to time, at my college rock station.

oh. god. one. more. thing. (!) so, last semester of grad school, I applied for a part-time job as an Anthropolgie store employee- recommended to me by a friend who went to the same state school, is successful in art, and used to be the manager of said store's manager (her boss-whatever). so, anyway, took in my app.

@mariefrancis: it's so funny that everyone has all of these problems with American Apparel employees! my interactions with them have been very pleasant- but I guess, maybe, when I'm not "on duty"- I tend to look the part? I mean, I run into people from the store, and their friendly outside of the store-

to be fair: the woman has had severe trauma in her past. but that trauma has nothing to do with me, our friends in common, or friends of mine she doesn't like. um, I didn't mention that when I complained to one of her best friends, D. said: "just roll it off. well, I don't mean that. I just mean, she does the

this is sad, but I'm off to a friend's art opening and a friend's rock show later, and I'm probably going to run into a certain 27-yr.-old, going 7, who says shitty things to me whenever we meet. last weekend a friend said that whenever the 27y.o. starts crap- look at her and like she's scum, and laugh. which, um,

@stoprobbers: yeah, that's okay. but, I think (if you haven't already) check out "Feminism 101"- it's an off-shoot off of feministing- or feministe (I think Feministing) - and clearly answers all of the arguments with the word, ideals, or possibly confusing aspects of why some of us are proud to call ourselves "a

@schlegs84: agreed! She is, by far, the prettiest, most striking, of all of the contestants. if they get rid of her- I foresee success in her future. but, that's how ANTM usually works, right?
