obviously, I don't need to see this. I got hitched in April, and people still assume that I'm single. 'specially 22 year-old "boys" at shows/clubs.

@morninggloria: GODDAMNIT. now it's stuck in my head. a pox on you!

@monkeydance: Personally, it is a big deal to me when one complains about their fatness at size 2 or 4- which are sizes I only wore when I was an anorexic. I'm now a size 8, and have to hear my mother-in-law, and one of my sisters-in-law, complain about their size 2 (or less) status. I know that it's a reflection of

@icurbritney: Palin is pro birth control by the definition of not having sex. that is the only acceptable birth control, to Palin.

@tokenblackgirl: thank you for articulating much of what I wanted to jump in and say. Palin can't have it both ways.

and I thought she was cool. now I know.

I brought up this very subject, like ten years ago, as an undergrad, at one of the most liberal universities, in a gender studies/sociology class. "Sociology of Sex Roles". anyway, nobody got what I was getting at. thank god you women, and some men, get it!@NewsBunny: love it! nips it right in the bud!

hey! not only do I love the skirt, it's not one of those shapeless shifts or babydoll/empire-waist dresses that cut one off at the wrong spot, so one looks pregnant! she's usually wearing one of those- and, I for one, can't wait to get rid of the maternity look.

that was for Werrick. it's just a suggestion.

@: then I'd send your questions/complaints to Feministing, Pandagon, Shakesville, Feministe...

@AccostHer Wilde: I have those sunglasses. I was told that I really didn't want to put prescription lenses in them, as it might break the bank- as they're so wide. I say: go for it!...

@PoisonPixie: I totally agree she should be in jail- but unfortunately, there aren't any psychosocial services to be had in jail. these things are such a conundrum. tx her problem, or just jail her. honestly: some things are extremely hard to rehabilitate (sexual predatory behavior, mainly). she's also

okay, so this the first time I've seen this but:

so, so, terribly late to the party, but: this word has been a problem for me, for many years (no, people don't call me a d.b.- at least I don't know they do)- but the fact that its purpose was to "freshen" the vulva area- specifically the vagina- how much more misogynist of a word can one come up with, to say that

@HeatherNumber1: yeah! that's the one! Sweet Action died a too-quick death. that was... well, I didn't think I cared to see naked men that I wasn't personally involved with- UNTIL THEN! that was some hot shit.

@TheUptightMidwesterner: I'd really like to smack whatever person that decided the "maternity look" is good. Babydoll dresses and camisoles? If I'm not pregnant, why would I want to look pregnant? Somebody needs to clue L.C. in on this, as well.

@That-Dude: truly. that doll does not really look "African-American", to me. Biracial, at best. Or, well... the average white sorority girl (who does not do the seemingly requisite dyeing of the hair to a bright white or yellow) that has "been laying out", or gone "tanning". I think AKA deserves better. I know:

@Jan74: um, I read her "rules". It's cool that she does not allow for any homophobic comments. that being said, what's the use of trying to reach out to her? she thinks it's "racist" to say "you hate Americans". it seems like, with the alcoholism, she just has way too much on her plate. I'm still amazed, though,

oh, she's so painful. she has another blog: www.girlonadiet.com. she's handling things much like I did- when I was in high school. her caloric restriction is to the point that if she keeps it up- well then she'll fit the criteria for anorexia. I find it upsetting, as she is not some starlet, whose career depends

@whats_in_a_name: well, yeah. I totally see that, of course, that's what I'm trained to do- but, you're right: anybody can see it. I'm starting to feel sorry for her. I started from a place of empathy, got irritated, and now see how sad she is.
