I will never, ever, understand how “Yes we were on the job, yes we arrested her for an offense, but hey she said she wanted to have sex so we went for it” is an actual defense. Or legal. Good christ, if that was even the reality of the case, they should be fucking ashamed of themselves.

This was a plea offer from the judge, not from the prosecutor. Judges in New York can offer a defendant a lighter sentence than the prosecution, as long as it’s a legal sentence for the most serious crime they’re charged with. 

She must’ve held them at gunpoint.

She was the driving force. She offered the bribe to get out of the arrest and immediately exploited the facts to bring a $50 million lawsuit.

My favorite part of any Dave McKenna story is the disclosures portion where he mentioned how many times subjects of his articles have called to berate him.

It’s just that so much of his comedy comes off like “old man yells at a cloud”, and that shit is not funny nor is it funny to listen to. The only way “old man yells at a cloud” is funny, is if the old man is the butt of the joke.

My top three favorite stand up comedians are Lewis Black, Hannibal Buress, and Jim Jefferies because they are intelligent, edgy and funny without punching down. And they make me feel smarter, too.

This is EXACTLY what I was going to say! People were skinnier then because all their food choices were nauseating. They didn't smoke because they wanted to, it was just the only way to not be hungry!
