It was nice and pushed an idea of one friends being family but, was so obsessed with romance and, later, babies, that it effectively murdered the central feel of the show and replaced it with “You can’t act like your friends are your family, now grow up and get a partner and some kids.”

Not quite punk enough to be punk and too groundbreaking to be pop, it was new wave before that term existed.

This all is a bunch of writers/showrunners jerking off at this point.

Just because it’s in a comic book you love doesnt’ mean the adaptation will be fun to watch as a TV series.
