You made me learn something dammit. I always thought it was From Niccolo Machiavelli and "The Prince" , but now I know Its not. I am not here to learn things.
But then we would have to think about Dune, and no one wants to do that, not even David Lynch, or Sting.
Star Trek, like all good Science Fiction, used space and the future to explore humanity's eternal questions in a different landscape, thereby making the lessons learned palatable. Star Wars simply says Good=good, Bad=bad but sometimes Bad seems Good, but it's still Bad. Something, something, whatever. But it did have…
The Excelsior could have been the broken down jalopy Millenium Falcon of the Federation. At the last possible moment, the little group of white lab coated Japanese Engineers would bang on the right part and whoosh! Warp Speed achieved! Sulu could have opened up an entirely new realm in the Star Trek sexual conquest of…
I love this guy, George Takei! Set your Phazer on Stunning George! I don't give Tweelight much thought but it never occurred to me about the whole High School thing. How creepy a story is this in reality? But then I guess if an ancient evil inhuman being, I would hang out at high school and get me some high school…
Nuh uh….right?
They actually are a pretty good band. I think the backlash to the hype prevented them from ever achieving real success. I was/am certainly one of the backlashers. I still get a warm sense of smug satisfaction when I recall Johnny Lydon being asked breathlessly about what he thought of The Strokes, with The White…
I never watched the last seasons. WHAT THE FUCK HAPPENED TO LUKE?
Like Mother, like Daughter.
I want to live in Star's Hollow and spy on Lorelai by night and by day try to stand really close to her without her ever knowing I was there, all while imagining the incredible times we would have together if we ever actually did meet and get to know each other.
I can actually remember "American Girl" and "Breakdown" all the early Heartbreakers singles, me and my friends thought they were really good. Its funny to realize they kinda just sunk when they came out.
Anyhow, every shop, warehouse, lumberyard or kitchen I have been in all had that same boombox and radio station…
Ha! Grinderman declares Nick Cave over. I for one, only get more attractive as I get older, if I do say so myself, and your mother.
You know, I have noticed that phenomena in a lot of pics of older generations, why does everybody look so much older than they really are? Was it pills? Drinking? Smoking? Just a harder life growing up in general? No face lotion? What?
I have never seen the movies, I have never seen a trailer for the movies and I don't intend on snapping the streak now.
I like all holidays. I don't get why people get so neg about them. we need more excuses to come together and celebrate. Oddly Christmas makes me a little wistful cause I miss a Jewish GF who I don't think ever even said Merry Christmas to me once. Weird.
Try some Rasputina Cello and bring this thing into the alternative 19th century.
I really don't know anything about any of these movies except that Reitman and Cody would eventually be to blame for Young Adult. So, I really can't comment except I sorta already have.
if only.
That was the best laugh i had all day! You are probably right. In my defense, the "Boy" was 26 at the time. Physically.
