I’ve been doing this for years and I highly recommend it. Sure it’s kind of asocial, but honestly, how many meaningful social interactions have you had in a grocery store during your life? It’s worth it for the extra books/podcasts you get to hear.

I recently read “Stir Frying to the Sky’s Edge”, and at least according to the author, this is how Chinese people make fried rice. “A meal of leftovers” is what she calls it.

I’m starting to investigate good, cheap meals to make and freeze on Sunday, and then eat for lunch all weak. So far I have two winners:

I’ve read something like 1/3rd to 1/2 of the books. Would not recommend most of these if “you’re just getting into programming” - they’re more useful once you get a few years of programming experience underneath you.

Apple took care of most of the things that made me want to jailbreak (alternate keyboard inputs like swipe come to mind). I’m pretty happy with my phone now.

I use audiobooks and podcasts interchangeably, for the most part. Some books are hard to multitask - I had a hard time following Neuromancer if I wasn’t paying full attention, where I never have that problem with podcasts.
