See, I hope the opposite. I thought Lincoln was overrated. Enjoyed Bridge of Spies, though.

I binged this yesterday. It really is a Slings & Arrows reunion: not just Sarah Polley and Paul Gross, but also Martha Burns (Ellen in S&A, Mrs. Parkinson in this).

Season 3 could just be Freaks and Geeks: Hawkins High.

Yeah, when Paula said she had a feeling Rebecca was going to hit rock bottom—then cut to the bar with Greg’s dad—I knew exactly what was going to happen. It was brutal and hard to watch when it happened.

This is the first I’m hearing of this, but it immediately feels inevitable.

I think some men just don’t understand the difference between male and female sexuality and what they find attractive. They think because they are turned on by the sight of a woman naked or masturbating, it works the same way in reverse. Like, hey, seeing boobs turns me on, so why wouldn’t seeing a penis turn HER on?

Seriously, I normally steer clear of anything that promises to be heavy on violence, torture, rape, etc. But the involvement of those two means I’ll at least dip my toes in.

Sarah Polley? PAUL GROSS?! Listed.

She’s back in the past, and within MINUTES Claire is being threatened with rape AGAIN! God it’s great to be back in ol’ Scotland, where there’s a rape or near-rape every fucking episode. I’m at the edge of my fucking seat.

She’s in I’m Not There, but now that I think about it, yeah, her part is pretty depressing.

Since the Kinja-ning my firsties have gone up 10000000%

Bought my copy of La Belle Sauvage! Haven’t started yet (gotta finish a library book first) but very excited!

My friend and I used to play a game where anytime a word (any word) was bleeped on TV, we’d say it was the C-word. We had fun.

I mean, I do get a pretty good laugh out of said adults in dumb costumes. I’m a proud Halloween Scrooge, sorry if that hurts your feelings, and I genuinely hope you have fun in whatever clever getup you decide to put on this year.

Halloween is stupid. Adults putting on dumb costumes and getting drunk is sad.

Yeah, the ending with Susie surprising Larry in the shower really took the cake.

Yeah, you’re right people have gotten disproportionately angry or upset over little things before, it’s part of the whole setup of the show and I’ve always loved the show. I just thought this one was the tiniest and wouldn’t really result in anything close to the confrontation that ensued.

I love Curb—there hasn’t been a bad season up till this point in my opinion— and maybe it’s because I was watching old episodes in the run up to this new season, but I found this one disappointing. Everything seemed exaggerated, broader and less realistic. Even Larry’s “pret-tay, pret-tay good” was delivered with a

I haven’t read the books either, but Frank’s arc in the show is so tragic. No, he’s not perfect, but he waited and waited in an unhappy marriage in order to give Brianna a stable home, then just as he’s about to sweep her off to Cambridge and marry a woman who does love him, boom, car wreck, dead. But at least

As long as we’re time traveling, I’d suggest Kevin Spacey 25 years ago.
