Gabe Newell is upset because of the Microsoft store that is integrated in Windows 8. It might cause a bleed from Steam. Time will tell.

Having more games for Linux will be a milestone, but it won't be enough. Not until stuff like Photoshop, Microsoft Word, and other professional software are available for Linux. I don't see that happening any time soon.
