You know those trap-py TikTok videos about video game nostalgia?
As I’ve gotten older, games like Revelations, about older people, figuring out their actual reason for being, finding a family, and also realizing you’re not the main character, which is what Ezio realizes when he helps Desmond find himself at the end, that a lot of what he had spent his life doing wasn’t meant for…
Did Brotherhood feel like a really big expansion to AC2?
Syndicate is the best game, don’t @ me! :)
Consumerism is absolutely out of control.
My interest in Stanley remains flat.
Yeah I still buy Blu Rays from time to time for TV shows that I already love and dont want to pay streaming services for. Bought all of Brooklyn 99 for like 45 bucks on Blu Ray and that was way better than paying for peacock for a few months. As for CDs, Im pretty sure without even trying that there is no device in my…
The actors and writers went on strike to get a piece of the streaming pie last year. It was a very big, public thing.
Fuck the creatives that depend on royalties, I guess.
This is a good deal - the Quest 2 is pretty awesome as a standalone headset and makes for a pretty decent PCVR solution.
But if you can afford a Quest3, do that instead. They’re better in quite a few ways.
Eh...maybe.
I don’t post directly to social media much, so for me it’s more a matter of easily transferring screenshots to my computer. Xbox, at least, makes that easy with direct OneDrive integration; with my PS5, it’s always a multi-step process - either copy it to an external USB drive, physically move that drive, then copy it…
I’ve never touched a Max Payne game (to my detriment), but it’s so lovely to see his colleagues come out and say such things about him. I’m sure he knew he made an impact on the medium, being such an outstanding and important series. Not to mention his other accomplishments. RIP sir, reckon you’ve earned it.
That’s exactly why I mentioned optics. The optics of the Xbone’s reveal was terrible, all around. The fact that, even today, the prevailing belief being that pre-owned titles wouldn’t work at all, is terrible. Those optics carried all the way through to the Xbone’s launch, and is probably what singlehandedly killed…
I wrote a whole blog about this (on this site! that no longer exists! fuck the herb!) at the time, and I stand by it to this day. Xbox One was way ahead of its time and some of its smart home theater conveniences still haven’t been adequately replicated to this day.
Regardless of how well or how poorly Sony does with the rest of this generation, I get the sense that they’ve already won the wars that matter, purely via inertia. Everyone’s gaming libraries, friends, and trophies are now on PS. That momentum makes it hard for me to imagine a world where MS can ever take the crown…
If they did a PS1/2 clone, I just might give up on my dreams of fixing my fat 60 GB PS3. I mean, I’ll probably still do it for fun, eventually. But I won’t need to in order to enjoy the collection.
Social media has given every narcissistic moron with access to a computer or a phone a megaphone, and we’re all dumber and worse off for it.
Ever worse than that after it did work you got put in a wait list. I was in a 5 hour queue to enter for a giveaway that was only running during the show.
