One “variant” is to cut the lumpia into smaller pieces (halves or thirds) BEFORE you fry them (scissors make for quick work on this). This way you 1) don’t have to worry about the size of your pot and 2) cutting hot, crispy lumpia is messier.
With bone-in, skin on chicken thighs I simply pat dry them with paper towel. Place them on a tin foil and parchment lined baking sheet skin side up. Salt and pepper them (as to your taste) and then bake them at 300 F for about 80 - 90 minutes. The skins come off the thighs like a shell when they’re done.

What’s missing is the pilot exploring the surrounding area and discovering a dilapidated cabin or more likely a dilapidated two storey house complete with basement in the middle of nowhere. And that area is totally void of wildlife noise.
