Anyway, the source says Kim, whom Us Weekly says is on a “girls’ trip” to Turks and Caicos right now (don’t tell the global pandemic!!!!)
“Performatively academic” is the best description of Rich I’ve ever read. Thank you. The way in which he has been elevated to Gay Men spokesperson on this site over the past few years is infuriating. I’m a gay man too, and superficially similar to Rich in many ways - white, reside in a large city, etc - but his…
Some of the larger community’s “chosen family” members have refused to allow a pandemic to redefine their lives and have brazenly broadcast their gatherings
I read this and immediately thought... “White Affluent Gay” says what?
This is not a report, this is not an article, this is an opinion piece that seems to be excusing and apologizing for all the affluent (mostly white) gays that have been learning about accountability in real time. While vilifying and gaslighting the…
This is a very verbose, detailed way of justifying dangerous behavior in a pandemic by deeming public shaming as equally problematic. (If ___ is so shitty, then why isn’t ____?)
As a gay guy in Brooklyn his takes on gay culture and media are so foreign to me it often feels like reading satire. But he probably really is like this.
I’m guessing a photo of Rich partying showed up on the account?
Complicated feelings about this account because in the age of the social media+COVID I really wonder about the best ways to promote positive behavior change, but low-key excited that one of the a**hole nurses I work with could be called out here one day. He’s the type of sh*t who yelled at me in front of my boss for…
If the Queen is wise, she’ll be taking steps to end the monarchy soon and on her terms. She really should be the last monarch because anyone that comes after her will never fill her shoes.
What we learned is that many White people lied. We have learned that many Americans, our neighbors, our cousins, our friends, so called “allies”, “suburban moms”, “moderates”, “independents” are lying cowards who lie to gullible pollsters. The dishonesty and the cowardice is very much on brand for those that don’t have…
everyone in the replies taking this super seriously and shaming you for not doing your homework probably a decade ago is sending me lol
Unrelated question from a Gen Xer.
Do you honestly expect me to click on all of those links?
I’m an adoptive parent and we’ve always referred to it that day, as do many adoptive families I know. It’s just a fun way to describe the way we finally met our son and he became ours in our hearts (even though legally that didn’t happen for another year).
Agree. This phrasing seems to be very common now in families formed through adoption.
From folk’s comments it certainly seems to be a term that adopted folks or adoptive families either take to or not. It would definitely not fly for my sister, but others seem to find it endearing.
I agree with this. My family includes loads of adopted kids. In fact, out of 4, I’m the only “bio kid.” I have adopted cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces, and a nephew.
The performance, the tears, ick! It’s so gross.
Fuck, can we get someone to ban these fucking whole-screen intrusive ads that pop up? As much as I love Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups, I don’t want intrusive advertising. Trying to do my part by not blocking ads here but it’s getting difficult not to go back.....
