I had a 2005 LR3 for four years that I loved and it was very reasonable to maintain. I did have to bite the bullet a few times on a suspension compressor and front hub/bearings. I may have just been lucky, but I didn’t put more than $500/year into maintenance. I have a P38 Rover, but I need another newer Rover again.

I’d love to see this come out and compete with the Duke 390. I’m very tempted to buy a 390 next summer.

From Oregon here. The only time it’s convenient is when it’s -5F and you can roll down the window just far enough to slip the credit card out. The other 99.9% of the year, it’s very annoying.

Here’s my view on the hipster phenomena- I build and ride what most people would call hipster bikes just because they are fun and (with skill) can look good. At the same time I can barely stand being around most of the people who ride bikes like this. Most of them have absolutely no mechanical or fabrication skills

My sister drove one of these for years and finally wrecked it. My dad kept the car to put the engine/transmission in one of his classic broncos.

I sold an E30 for my younger brother a few years ago. I lived in a larger city with a better market, so he brought it over and it sat at my house for a few days while it was on craigslist. This was a 1987, four door 325e with almost 200k on it. Almost nothing desirable about it other than being a manual. I had someone

Shouldn’t it still pass emissions? They haven't black-balled them by vin yet have they?

Being from Oregon, this is Portland in a nutshell. Typical passive-aggressive, holier than thou mindset. I like the city a lot, but the people can be serious assholes. The last time I was there, some dick on a bike was going around writing “BIKE LANE” next to the driver’s door of all the Prius’ parked outside a local

That hood looks long enough to hide a V12 for all we know. They somehow also managed to make the (decent looking) Miata top look terrible on this one.

Ford’s also promising that the driveline, axles, 4WD system and towing hardware have all been further robustificated

The real shame here is that he skimped on the diamond plate. There’s so much more surface area to be covered with the iconic trucker material.

I bought a 1994 900s for my brother last year. The damn thing even had heated seats.

These have been around for years, and are incredibly expensive.

I had a 2006 manual TDi for years. Efficient? Yes. “Fun”? Absolutely not. There isn’t a lot of fun from an engine that doesn’t rev above 4500rpm. A Fiesta would be far more fun.

Great list, but the best cheats are the ones still being used and might never be found out.

I can do alcantara/leather combo’s but they have to be the same color or close. Black/red, black/tan, white/black are all out of the question.

If we could stop adding “gate” to every possible scandal, I would be so happy.

I would never order/buy a car with two-tone seats. I love Jag/Rover as much as humanly possible, but these look like they were pulled from the Camaro assembly line.

You feel dangerous driving it, but don’t hate yourself when you take it for a weekend run from Manhattan Beach to Mammoth Mountain.”
