It’s too much for me. The grunts have always inherently been funny aliens; it’s apparent that they don’t want to me mixed up in all this. The previous titles sprinkled in the humorous lines to add to that or dialed it up with skulls. Infinite feels like it’s shoving it down your throat to the point that it’s immersion

They’re definitely not for everyone, but I always thought their games produced an experience hardly found anywhere else. Not sure if they’re pioneers of it, but there really aren’t any other game companies willing to experiment with the medium like they have even if the ideas are loftier than they can handle. And the

There’s some guy we don’t know, who talks to Master Chief about a war we don’t remember, with an enemy that only previously appeared in...Halo Wars 2. It’s like being trolled.

XD

Don’t worry arniejolt, I got the joke.

Gah and those are round based matches!

I think it should be an all or nothing system. It’d be annoying if someone did quit and the game ended, but ranked matches emphasize skill and competition. Nothing competitive about using bots.

“..but learning how to survive through all of those cheap shots was fun.

So many times I went in for the melee aaand...shotgun to the face.

There was a speedrun commentary with the devs a few months ago and they were even commenting on how that level dragged on.

“343 Industries’ visual and audio design is extremely impressive”

That is telling. I wonder how that’s related to play time. Perhaps some percentage only checked out that game b/c it’s F2P and it’s slightly skewing results.

I sort of disagree. I think most people engaged in customization in H3 and especially Reach (don’t remember 4/5). I think any default armor permutation is going to mean less when it’s a reflection of nothing. The other systems were very cut and dry and felt effective b/c of that. Your look was largely based off of

I agree. It reads across a map nearly the same as in front of you. To drive home the emphasis this iteration is putting on the BP and its cosmetic offerings, this outline mechanic was actually created directly to serve it.

I literally want to scream reading this.

Can they patch the title to be 100 more years into the future and just release a remaster of a much cooler game?

My part-time experience was always in hospitality. In my early 20s, after returning home for a bit, I decided to try out the local GameStop b/c I obviously like games and figured the context would be fun to work in. It was all just boilerplate retail — totally mindless work, organizing games, answering every phone call

I think this question exposes how centered the game is around the progression system which is bad. Team play is always more gratifying with or without some external system. That is instantly handicapped when players can’t communicate (via keyboard or mic) which has essentially dropped off completely. Rewards centered

Other than utterly basic modes like SWAT, Team Slayer, and Team Snipers missing I could not believe that they released this with a broken custom games. It literally doesn’t work.

I want everyone to be aware that this whole BP scheme is so integral to this game that it led to the deprecation of the classic red vs blue color scheme to serve it. They literally gambled with the gameplay by created this silly player highlighting system to give greater emphasis on customization and personalization.

an important part of the game’s personalization for almost two decades

And an utterly trivial one at that. Like we’re talking f-ing colors here!

You’re literally applying the logic they’re praying on. This business model is more lucrative than if it were $60 for the full package b/c MTX goes on for the whole lifespan of the game. If the campaign was $25-30 they’d have an argument...but it’s still gonna be full priced so they’ve compensated for the free
