murrica
we have a staff of 60 people that are full time cleaning the heliostats (mirrors as they are mistakenly referred to everywhere...)
Just sayin....
No longer than a project like this. The plant was in planning stages for nearly a decade and took over 4 years to build, a nuclear plants can and have been built in sub five year plan to FOC. Our ignorance of the best/cleanest method of producing energy will haut us for decades to come. New nuclear generation is safe…
Cost ratio, longevity, and maintainence? I Nuclear plant such as palo verde would generate enough power for the majority of socal. at roughly 3-5k megawatts. If you made it thorium you could use it to clean up radioactive waste at a low cost as well.
I'm 6'8" and just want to thank you for noticing this trend. I usually need to tell the person in front of me, "Those are my knees," when he/she continues trying to recline the seat to no avail. And they look at me like I'm the asshole most of the time, even after watching me walk to my seat.
When all you have is a hammer everything looks like a nail.
AKA "omg he was rude to me because im fat!" instead of
he was kinda not really rude to me because I was late, it was early, he had just been disappointed he didnt get a row to himself and I'm a rude bitch and I fucking kicked him.
Sure, but it's even sillier to designate this story as an example of how fat people are fucked over in America. It trivializes the problem and certainly does more harm than good. If she wants people to take this issue seriously, she should replace this story with one that actually reflects the problem at hand instead…
Yeah, I felt the author came off as more of an asshole than the other person.
That's actually offensive enough that someone may pursue legal action. If they use Bay-area lawyer Mi Su Yu, that station is fucked.
