If you think gearing is the biggest problem an F1 restoration would have, you have got another thing coming.

NEVER TRUST ANYONE WHO USES ALL-CAPS. Especially for a 100k+ purchase.
My bad :D FWIW you only used the word "setup" once and it was in the context I used it in. And on another note, who says "race setup" for anything but a sim rig? For an actual racing car the word is plain and simple "setup."
The question was which car is faster; obviously, the DP is faster.
So what you're saying is the DP is a full 5 seconds faster per lap.... That's... a lot.
Context, bro. The word "setup" used in the article refers to sim racing setups, not the "setup" of a racing car. And FWIW, https://www.google.co.jp/search?q=racin… google disagrees with you.
I was talking about controller setups, not an actual racecar. You should have read the whole article.

My setup has a reclining sports seat. Without reclining I wouldn't be able to use it, and it would take up roughly 20% more floor space when it's not in use. Using side-mounts only gives so much adjustment, and the adjustments are very imprecise.
Not while racing. Some off-the-shelf racing setups don't have enough fore-aft adjustment for a person of my height (5'11") to have a proper position without reclining the seat. Then again, mine was designed in Japan...
Fixed bucket seats are awful for racing setups because you need the reclining to adjust your position (rails alone are insufficient) and because you need to be able to fold the seat forward to save space when you're not using the setup (yes, it's a big deal).
Dat bucket seat.
The primary problem is that they're shooting at the main characters. They're as accurate as the story needs them to be.
The E-11 blaster rifle had a scope back in the day, it's just that no one in the movie seems to ever use them.
Whether an AK is accurate depends entirely on who made it, and how. Precision-milled AKs with match barrels are accurate a fu....they're accurate. A surplus stamped AK knockoff with a worn-out barrel, notsomuch.
You must have been a rich 19 year-old. So jealous.
My FC3S RX-7 is slowly rusting on a family friend's property as it waits for the day I return from Japan and turn it into a race car.
I'm sorry, but GoPro videos of wing suit flyers has kind of spoiled me. This was only kind of impressive.
