...not including kart races, right? Because if it was, then...wow.
It's not manslaughter if it was caused entirely by the negligence of the other party (which it was).
A Miata would fee like a muscle car compared to a Bug.
Lexus: The luxury car for people too poor to buy a BWM or Merc, but too racist to openly spend $50,o00 on a Japanese car.
I need props so I can spread the Jalop gospel, yo.
Just another case of NASCAR not doing anyone until somebody died, although in this case it technically wasn't even in NASCAR, which is an improvement. Perhaps we would see safer grass-roots circle track racing if it all become part of the NASCAR umbrella (the regulatory side, not the commercial side). Remember the 15…
Irrelevant. He tried to be a badass and pick a fight with a moving car over a minor racing incident the other driver probably didn't even notice, when he should have being running off the track. The rules still would have applied, since they specifically say not to do what he did.
LOL, I hope you mean "air" strip and not "drag" strip, because it's not going to get anywhere near 200 MPH in a quarter mile.
It's been 43 years. Why doesn't your 240Z have 500 HP by now?
But what will it Round the 'Ring in?
If I had $40,000 to spend on a track car, building/buying a Daytona replica would be one of the things on my list of possibly choices.... only problem is that kit cars don't seem to be street legal here in Japan...
Clearly stated when? FWIW, it might simply be limited by gearing, which is still limited. Stable or not, at that speed a typical sedan will turn into an airplane. Even the M5 is limited to 155.
If any of those are within city/town/municipality limits, no, you can't. http://www.azleg.state.az.us/ars/13/03107.h… Here's a random example of a typical law against discharging a firearm and exceptions to the law. My point is that driving as fast as a car will go should only be done on the track.
...none of them had 700 HP and sedan bodies. Unless they're going to completely redesign the aerodynamics and chassis, I seriously doubt they won't restrict the top speed, even if it's to 180.
It will almost certainly be limited to 150 or so. I guarantee it. Just because you strap a rocket to a go-kart doesn't mean it's safe to see how fast it will go. The same applies to a 700 HP sedan.
Guns now hold three times as many bullets but that doesn't mean you're allowed to shoot them outside of a shooting range without justification.
That would be super dumb. Put a 500 HP V8 in something that is aerodynamic, stiff, low-slung, rear-wheel drive, and weighs less than 3000 pounds. That would be magical.
No, it wouldn't work. By the time you had enough tube frame to contain the weight and power of the engine, and enough grip to make it drivable you would basically have a Caterham. If you wanted 120 HP in a tiny car you're better off with a 600 cc bike engine. It would be lighter and smaller anyway. It wouldn't be a go…
