The NSX, second-gen MR2 and the Miata all started in 1989, but none of them are 80s cars.

It didn't suck, it just had the wrong engine.

If they're going to build a new MR2, it needs to be more like the original NSX, with a transverse-mounted engine, not a cheapass FF layout stuffed in the back. It needs closer to 50/50 weight and have a proper double-wishbone suspension to be worth the loss of practicality and difficulty in maintenance. It also needs

If they "total" the car that means they have to pay you what the car is worth, which would make little sense for a car that costs a lot more than $7000. Plus you could just buy it back and buy some aftermarket buckets.

The proper question is whether having less power and less weight is better. Given a choice between 700 hp and 4,500 pounds and 342 horsepower and 2,200 pounds.... the choice is glaringly obvious.

....so? If I was going to DD one I would get a set of proper tires, because 305x20s UHP tires are 'spensif. Not to mention they wouldn't be super great for the gas mileage. Caterham ultralites probably suck to drive in the rain too, but that doesn't mean they aren't still cooler than muscle cars in every way. (ok,

Is a Mercedes-based Airstream RV waaaay more expensive per square foot than a similarly-equipped purpose-built RV from a less famous brand?

What? I wasn't attacking you. I wasn't even bashing the car. I was saying there's just no reason to get excited so damn excited about it. Unlike say, the next ZR1. Which will obviously be epic.

And you're going to do what with it? Do some burnouts, some donuts, and some 10s in the quarter mile? I guess that appeals to some people.

That depends if you count modified cars. It's still just a big V8 with a huge supercharger. That's not newsworthy. The P1, La Ferrari, and 918 are newsworthy. They are game-changers. This is literally just more of the same.

A literbike is overkill unless you've got slicks and are on a race track. But so is any decently fast car. FWIW, modern literbikes all come with settings to make them behave like 600s.

It's not an air compressor, it's a captive bolt stunner powered by an air tank. And they don't actually kill cows (or any animals). It just knocks them out before they cut their throats.

700 hp is the old 500 hp. It would be a big deal if it had 700 hp and got 30 mpg.

Just trollin, bro. He keeps sackriding the Hellcat like they aren't going to build one with 800 horsepower in a year or two.

Still slower than a literbike.

Some silencers are designed to slow the bullet down to subsonic speeds to prevent the sonic crack without having to use subsonic ammo. Also, subsonic rounds don't use less gunpowder, they have heavier bullets!

That's the difference between hearing damage and the sound of a nail gain.

There's no income tax, but they have 17.8% sales tax...which is great for the rich, no so good for the poor.

Italians only use brakes to go faster.
