Really enjoyed her interview with Terry Gross on Fresh Air yesterday. Her childhood was a bit bananas yet the her life she has made for herself is nothing short of incredible.

I adore her and am excited to read this. The dedication to the book is amazing, too.

Lauren Graham should put everything on hold until she’s done filming the Gilmore Girls for Netflix. I’m sure they can find a spot for Mae Whitman somewhere in Stars Hollow. Maybe she could play Doosey’s niece or Zack’s half sister or something.

I’d love to see a show featuring Hildy scaring the hell out of every single client she had. Gluing straw to walls and telling people to train their kids not to eat it made me love her for life.

In 7th grade I wore a different Harry Potter shirt every day of the week... And HP light up shoes. Needless to say dudes were not lining up to hit on me. And even after I started to conform more... it was still “hey... aren’t you that crazy Harry Potter girl?” YUP! Once even a kid I had a huge crush on went around…

It is so deeply ingrained in our culture that men are “owed” a girlfriend or sex, that it seems impossible to change. At the same time, women who do not have a partner are told to look for reasons why (pushy, unattractive, etc.). It’s a social construct that’s really damaging, when you think about it.

My teacher friends are constantly trying to convince me they are the most demonized profession. I hate the “you don’t know what it’s like!” line of thinking. I don’t. You don’t know what my job is like either. Can we call it a day?

THANK YOU! Nurses and teachers do important work but they presumably weren’t forced into their careers and shouldn’t expect to be constantly praised for what they do.

I would like to start out by saying that I know and love many nurses (my mom was one for 30+ years), I admire and respect the job they do, and Joy Behar is an idiot. Nurses are awesome!
