Ivanka’s literal quote from the end of that interview: “I’m going to jump off, I have to run. I apologize.”

The Giver is one of my favorite books of all time (kid or grown-up). If you read it knowing it was written before the onslaught of modern YA dystopian novels, I think you might like it.
You know, I got a text and an email from the Hillary campaign saying how nice it was that people cared about her and sent her some well-wishes and I thought, well that’s nice, I guess.
TBH, I would literally do anything to have my Blackberry back, so I 100% understand her requests here. I literally said today, “I’ve never loved a piece of technology more than I loved my Blackberry.”
This is the crux here, all of this negativity seems to be mostly based on “impressions.”
This same clown didn't know who Harriet Tubman was. Sigh.
I’m glad I didn’t make that up!
I kinda agree- these comments are bumming me out. How does everyone seem to care so little about this lady, but also seem 100% sure she cheated on and wronged her husband?Maybe I'm missing that part of the plot here?
Also, I believe the actual marriage part of her relationship with her husband may have been somewhat forced by immigration law. (Don't quote me on that, but I think I remember her talking about how stressful it was or something. It seemed like the relationship was legit, they just didn't intend on marriage.)
I like her. Her creativity book, though it has a lot of goofy stuff in it, is REALLY good. If you’re the type of person who can tolerate/appreciate and then parse magical thinking from realism, it’s worth a go. She gives good solid advice and wraps it in cotton candy.
Oh, also, I only use mine 1-2 times per week (but I love it!)- I also have oily, acne-prone skin, but I’ve found it works better to wait a couple days between scrubbing.

This is a great post and makes me miss when Jezebel was a little more focused on feminism.
What’s more frustrating here is that she agreed to do the interview with no self-awareness that she’s taking a down payment from your parents is great, but not really something to advertise in the New York Times.
That’s when you know it’s real love.
“This is the real world that we live in.”
I am a grown woman who has always thought grown men who collected action figures were weird and tacky and I want these so badly.
Come to think of it, why DON’T tampons come with candy??
I’d be interested in knowing the response from this group as well. I admire the work they’re doing at the RNC, but am not sure how they propose the next steps be taken? Is it all about raising awareness? Or is there a goal to modify the democratic platform?
